Refuge Paradisia

Located on Crest Mount in Taconet resort (2975 meters), the beautiful Paradisia enjoys of a fantastic view, which is enought to show you the reason of this name. Its position is the only which can allow the observed to note the strange “S” shape of the valley floor. This was the location of a F. Nuti’s film, as you can see in the plaque, “Tutta colpa del Paradiso”, unavailable in English I suppose. To reach it you have to take again the road starting on the left of the cableway terminal, and then follow the signals: as you can note observing it from the valley floor, Paradisia is located nerby Soussun.

It’s a panoramic and sunny location, the best choice for a pair of relaxing and tanning hours. Just forward, on the right, the dirt road keeps on going in the meadows, arriving finally at Lake Forcaz in the long Bettaforca’s Valley. In those places, pretty lonely, it’s easy to find wild fauna, especially on July. Just a final note: if August has been rainy enoughm you’ll can look for the best “porcini” in the woods surrounding the refuge. Good luck! (“Porcino” is the slang name for a kind of mushroom, a member of “boletus” family, precioys and widely used in North Italy’s traditional cuisine).
