Lake Saler

Located at 2080 meters on Crest Mount, this little alpine lake can appear as a simple aim: nevertheless, it’s located in a natural context relevant for beauty and possibilities.

First of all, it’s important to tell that this little lake is one of childrens’ favourite aims: it’s easy to be reached – the writer use to arrive there from Crest, that’s why I put this run in “Middle Difficulty” chapter – it’s sunny all day long, strating from nine o’clock AM, of course; surrounded by woods, it’s a perfect refreshment or picnic point. This lake is known as “Frogs’ Lake”, and this reputation is absolutely true. However, how to reach it?

From Crest, and I mean the cableway terminal, you have to take the road on the left or the terminal itself: soon you’ll reach Crefourne, after which there’s a crossroad, with a lot of signals. It’s enought to go right, choosing the slopest road, surrounded by high protections, locaed there to avoid any kind of skiing accidents. In less than half an hour you’ll reach before the Salerin’s pastures, and then, after the curve, the lake: on maps this aim is signalled 10A – 11, because it’s the same road which will take to Contenery Lake, and to Ciarcerio Lake. NB: this lake will be widely described in “Fishing” section of this website.
