Bivouac “City of Mariano Comense” Located
at 2981 meters of altitude, this structure has been inaugurated in 1974
and offers 9 bed places. The Bivouac is located in Rollin’s basin,
under Ventina’s Glacier. It offers a repair in case of poor weather,
or a good support point for new walks: from there you can reach Upper
Cime Bianche Pass (2982 meters), Rock of
Verra (3129 meters), Rollin’s Peak (3296 meters) and, of course,
Rollin’s Hump (3902 meters). Finally, it’s important to remember
that, nearby, there are several little lakes; the bigger one is,
precisely, Tzère Lake. However,
here the chronicle of our trek, happened Saturday 21st August
2004. Just after the bridge across Tzère torrent, you have to go right, crossing a wild and wet meadow, until you reach a desterted “malga”, which is a shepherd’s hut. It’s Vase resort, where we arrive at 9.00 AM. The path, behind the malga, is still perceptible, and leads us to another deserted hut, at 9.10: we’re in Chucoz resort, about 2004 meters of altitude.
