Rosa’s
Massif and Central Pennines Alps
This
section will entirely dedicated to widening of exclusively alpinistic
topics, with description of alpine peaks that I want to enlarge year by
year. It’s a section which will get larger every year. Now
you’ll find informations about my first “4000”, Mount Castore.
It’s necessary to underline that the glacier can’t be bounded at the
only Ayas: peaks such Lyskamm or Briethorn aren’t part ot this Valley,
although they’re reachable from Ayas’ refuges with Rosa’s tours.
Just
another geographic specification: the Central Pennines Alps hosts many
peaks, some of them reachable from Ayas, like Breithorn (4164 mts),
Polluce (4091 mts), Castore (4221 mts), Lyskamm (4527 mts).
Rosa’s
massif attracts however the alpinists who stay in Ayas; it offers Parrot
Peak (4436 mts), Gnifetti Peak (4556 mts), Zumstein Peak (4563 mts)
Dufour Peak (4634 mts), Nordend (4609 mts), Lydwigshöhe (4341 mts),
Schwarzhorn (4322 mts), Balmenhorn (4167 mts), Vincent Pyramid (4215
meters).
