Champoluc
- Antagnod This
unwinds entirely on asphalted road, but it has a good mixture of lenght,
panorama and slope to represent an interesting excursion for anybody. First
of all, the difference in height: Champoluc lies at 1568 meters of
altitude, Antagnod at 1694. The ascent is represented by a perfect road,
pretty panoramic, which only fault is to have many
blind hairipin bends, so you won't see the incoming cars. The
first part, until Champlan and Pallenc villages, or more exactely until
Mandrou's crossroad, is the hardest, with a constant slope; after
Magneaz, however, it's all flat until Antagnod. The way back will be short and fast, and also the discent from the other side of Antagnod, until you reach State Road no. 506 is funny enough, but you'll find yourself far from Champoluc (4 km).
